Youssef Haddad
Youssef grew up in a busy neighborhood in Beirut where the barbershop was the calmest place on the street. He learned the craft from an uncle who said, “Hands steady, heart open.” When Youssef moved to The CITY, he kept that promise to himself. Build a shop where anyone can sit, be heard, and leave feeling ready.
He opened The Gentry in 1998 with a small team and big standards. Clean work. Honest advice. Training that never stops. The shop soon became a place where skill and kindness met. Barbers who learned under Youssef later stood on national and European stages. They earned medals. More important, they earned trust.
Youssef’s favorite work happens after hours. He invites local boys who need a fresh start to shadow the team, sweep floors, practice on mannequins, and learn how to carry themselves. A good cut is part of it. The other part is showing up on time, shaking hands, and taking pride in the details. Many have turned the corner here.
